Works with ages 11 – 15 · 16+
Lucy tailors her approach to each young person, working creatively to help them build on their strengths and navigate their mental health journey.
Lucy is an Integrative Counsellor which means she tailors her practice to the young person to best meet their counselling needs. Lucy began working with young people over a decade ago and has experience in youth work, supporting charities and secondary teaching. Lucy works creatively with young people, drawing upon their strengths to help them navigate their mental health journey.
Through working in schools, Lucy has seen first hand the struggles young people face and works to support those struggling with relationships, anxiety, low mood, identity questioning and more. Lucy has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside her core training and welcomes young people who would like to engage in goal setting and applying therapeutic activities into their everyday life. Lucy is child-led in her practice which means that she will facilitate the type of therapy and interventions that work best for your young person.
Alongside the sessions, Lucy finds working with parents and caregivers important to bring about positive change and impact. Lucy brings a positive mindset to her practice and this is reflected in her friendly and encouraging attitude in sessions.
In her spare time Lucy enjoys spending time with her family, with the recent addition of a baby boy. She loves swimming, climbing, music and making things.
