the power of connection

Why matching matters

Because it's the relationship between your child and their counsellor, more than any particular approach, that makes therapy work.

  • The relationship drives progress

Decades of outcome research point the same way: the quality of the therapeutic relationship predicts progress more reliably than the specific type of therapy used.

  • Getting to know your child

We'll find out about your child's personality and interests, and whether they'd rather talk, work creatively, or have more structure.

  • Sessions they want to turn up to

When the connection is right, your child feels safe enough to open up, and therapy becomes something they choose to keep coming back to.

Not sure what you're looking for? You don't need to be. That's why we offer a free intro call to anyone who wants it: we'll help you work out what your child needs, and who would fit.

I've spent years working alongside hundreds of counsellors, and the ones on our team are people I know personally and trust completely. My job is to help you find the one who fits your child.

From first look to first session, in four simple steps

No GP referral, no waiting list. You can take your time and decide when it feels right.

  1. Choose your counsellor

Browse the profiles and see who feels right for your child. Each one shows who they are and how they work.

  2. Book the first session

Pick a time that works and book directly with the counsellor you've chosen. A first session is available in as little as 48 hours.

  3. Meet your counsellor

The first video session is a chance for your child and the counsellor to get to know each other, and for you to decide together whether it feels right.

  4. Weekly sessions begin

The same counsellor, at the same time each week, with flexibility when life needs it. You only pay for sessions that happen.

You can start with a look around, no sign-up needed.

Getting Started

Browse our counsellor profiles and see who stands out. Each one shows who they are, what they specialise in and how they work with children and young people. If your child is old enough to have a view, involve them: it often helps when the choice feels like theirs. Every counsellor here is vetted and known to us personally, so whoever you choose, you can trust who you've found. And if you're still not sure, book a free intro call and Helen, our Head of Counselling, will help you work out who would fit.
